Aria Resort and Casino is a luxury resort and casino that can be found along the Las Vegas Strip. It consists of two curved high-rise towers made of glass and steel, and it is the largest and tallest structure at the CityCenter complex.
Aria houses 150,000 square feet of gaming space, and is the only casino that can be found in the CityCenter complex. A variety of games may be found here, some of which are slot machines, table games, variations of poker, and a race and sports book. The gaming machines in this casino are controlled and monitored centrally by a data center measuring 3,000 square feet. Traditionally, casinos are designed to omit natural light, but in the Aria, skylights are part of the ceiling design.
Aside from the casino, the Aria also has 4,004 guest rooms and suites, 16 different restaurant options, 10 bars and nightclubs, a 215,000 square feet pool area with 50 cabanas, a salon and spa, a convention center, and a 1,800-seat theater which currently hosts its permanent show, Zarkana, by Cirque du Soleil.
One of the most notable aspects of the Aria Resort and Casino is how it incorporates technology in the exterior and interior design of the hotel. It is the largest hotel in the world to earn the LEED Gold certification because of its reduction of energy consumption. It has been deemed “the most technologically advanced hotel every built” – one of its smart rooms has features that automatically adjusts its curtains, turns off lights and other electronics that are not in use, and regulates temperature when a guest enters or leaves the room.Aria,
